(Santa Barbara, CA) Clean Water Tour officials announced a live exhibit during the Santa Barbara Showdown Lacrosse Tournament this weekend (October 18-19) at the Santa Barbara Polo Fields. The tournament showcase top lacrosse clubs from around the region. The public is welcome.

“The Santa Barbara Showdown is mindful of making a positive impact in the the local community,” said Conor Quinn, Clean Water Tour president and Showdown co-director. “We are excited to have local water organizations and talented young artists, to inform, educate and entertain our attendees.” Quinn also noted that the Showdown welcomes over 1,700 players, plus their families, generating a weekend economic impact of $712,000 for Santa Barbara.

Clean Water Tour water partners exhibiting include Santa Barbara Channelkeeper and Blue Ocean Sciences. Music artists performing at the Clean Water Tour tent include: Jacob Greenspan (Sat @ noon), Braeden Biegert (Sun @ noon) and Haddon Cord (Sun @ 12:30).


“Santa Barbara Channelkeeper is thrilled to partner with the Clean Water Tour to connect with our community about the importance of clean water,” says Executive Director, Kira Redmond. “The Clean Water Tour’s initiative to raise awareness about water issues is a critical step towards finding solutions to those issues and complements Channelkeeper’s important work to protect and restore our local streams, rivers and ocean.”
